Psalm 91 the meaning-psalm 51 prayer forgiveness

God, speaks of his unfailing love for the mankind as well as his omnipresence when dealing with different situations his children facing, and how he will be there for you always in every situation and rescue you.

Psalm 91 Verses:

This is a dialogue between David and Solomon. Here is one of the of most important Psalms in the Bible. It tells you about how to deal with different situations in life. And you can find refuge in God always.

” 1 Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. 2 I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” 3 Surely he will save you from the Fowler’s snare and from the deadly pestilence. 4 He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart..”

Whenever you fear any situation in life you can ask for God’s shelter. It will be of utmost importance to get help from your Lord on the most troublesome times of your life. In the “shelter” you will find protection from your enemies. And enemies driven towards you by Satan.

Know that Satan prowls along like a lion. Seeking your very life. He mainly attacks Christians as he does not want Christians to prosper. He will attack you spiritually, emotionally and physically. If you live a life following Christ and his commandments, you have nothing to worry but rejoice in the Lord. And you will be resting in His shadow.

Whenever you face a crisis in life, you know that you know, you can find refuge within him, and in him you will be protected by a heavenly fortress surrounding you.
But for him to act upon your situation, good or bad, you must always trust him.

If this was written by Moses, It is possible here the Fowler is compared by David to king of Egypt or Amalekites or it could be the Satan who sought to slay him. When you seek refuge under his “wings” you will be protected from all your troubles

And if you devote your heart to the Lord, he will protect you from any harm and when you ask for deliverance in any situation he will definitely rescue and place you in a secure place. He does all these because you love him. And you will live many years in prosperity.

Psalm 121- 1 I lift up my eyes to the mountains— where does my help come from? 2 My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth. 3 He will not let your foot slip— he who watches over you will not slumber; 4 indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. 5 The LORD watches over you— the LORD is your shade at your right hand; 6 the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. 7 The LORD will keep you from all harm— he will watch over your life; 8 the LORD will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.”

Oh, what a great God we serve. He will watch over you day and night, He never sleeps, he is always at your service. When you are in trouble, be it for an impending accident or in any physical harm he will scoop you up and protect you. He will have guardian angels at his disposal to send for your rescue. He is your never ending help in trouble.

He will be in all your situations in life whether good or bad. When you are poor he will be with you to ensure you at least have the basic needs. He allowed you to be poor for your good temporarily. When you are rich and prosperous he will still be with you to ensure you do not fall away from grace of God. When you wander away from God he will lead to back to the right track, as he never keeps his eyes away from you.

He will know all your dark secrets. He will forgive all your sins. If you keep his commandments and lead a righteous life you will not fall. You will be at the top.

Therefore, know that there is a higher power in Jesus that will always protect you day and night, 24 hours and 365 days a year.

Psalm 51-

“1 Have mercy on me, O God, according to your unfailing love; according to your great compassion blot out my transgressions. 2 Wash away all my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin. 3 For I know my transgressions, and my sin is always before me. 4 Against you, you only, have I sinned and done what is evil in your sight; so
you are right in your verdict and justified when you judge. 5 Surely I was sinful at birth, sinful from the time my mother conceived me. 6 Yet you desired faithfulness even in the womb; you taught me wisdom in that secret place. 7 Cleanse me with hyssop, and I will be clean; wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.. “

Here, the writer is pleading with the Lord, to wash away all his sins and forgive him. He admits he was a sinner from the time he was conceived in his mother’s womb. He requests to cleanse him from all inequities and not to cast him from his presence. And he is offering a broken heart as a sacrifice and asking God for redemption.

He pleads for restoration and a creation of a pure heart that is acceptable for him. And he promises once he has a pure heart, that he will sing praises to the lord. And he will influence sinners to turn back to him.

Conclusion-

In many situations of life, when in trouble especially, you can find shelter under the protective “wings” of the lord God. With the omnipresence of God watching over you, you will always feel safe as he never sleeps watching over you twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week and three hundred and sixty five days a year. Satan will always “prowl like a roaring lion” to destroy you trying to prevent you from riches and blessings that the lord your God has lined up for you.

And if you repent of all your sins and devote you heart to the Lord, everything will come right for you, and all your wishes will be granted. Amen
