Joshua, battle of jericho
The Jericho generation:
Jericho, the promised land, was attacked by Joshua and the Israelite s. They broke the walls of Jericho, with the ram’s horns. And then they burned the city.
Today, you can expect to live in prosperity. The generation before you prayed for your prosperity. God has a new plan for you. That is for you to prosper. For you to realize your dreams.
God will destroy generational curses that impede your progress. It is because he is a mighty god, and he wants you to prosper. The dream you have had, he will make it a reality.
The property you always wanted will be your. The car that you have been dreaming of will be yours. The relationship you have been dreaming of will come to pass. You will find the soulmate of your life. Yours will be a prosperous life.
Nothing is impossible for our God. He is the Alpha and Omega. The beginning and the end. Nothing is impossible with him. You just need to believe in him. Worship him daily. Follow his commandments as outlined in the bible.
Jeremiah 29:11
“For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future”
Instead, you will see the stock prices of your stocks sky rocket. Your bank accounts will be filled with abundance of money. You will be offered a promotion in your job. You will buy real estate. You will travel around the world.
Your generational curse will be destroyed by the Lord. No enemy will rise against you, rather they will flee from you. Yours will be a promised land. A land of milk and honey.
Your children will be excellent in studies and sports. They will become engineers, doctors and even Nobel prize winners.
Your sons will be star sportsmen, star basketball payers, baseball player or a star Tennis player. You can be proud of them and marvel at their achievements. All these can be achieved if you believe and trust Jesus our lord and savior.
Keep praying and worshiping our lord daily. Nothing will hinder your progress.
Psalm 37:4
“Take delight in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart.”
Psalm 1:1-3
“Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, but whose delight is in the law of the LORD, and who meditates on his law day and night. That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither— whatever they do prospers”
You must find a spirit filled church and associate with members of the church. Attend bible study groups. Associate with pastors, evangelists who are well versed in the word.
Meditate in the word of God daily. If you do all these things, yours will be a prosperous and delightful land.
Romans 12:2
“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”
You see your friend watch pornography, do not follow him. And you see your friend cursing, do not copy him. He shows no respect to women, do not follow him. Pray for them, pray that they give up their ways.
Deuteronomy 8:18
“But remember the LORD your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your ancestors, as it is today.”
Isaiah 41:10
“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
Proverbs 10:22
“The blessing of the Lord brings wealth, without painful toil for it.”
It is possible for you to be rich even without any effort by you. I sometimes know you could be a lottery winner. Some say it is not from God. But I believe that the lord can use even a sinner’s lottery to bless you.
It does not have to be in a lottery. You will know with certainty that when you see a package full of money at your doorstep or a stranger knocks on your door and hand over a cash filled envelope or even a check in the mail that it is from God.
God has strange ways of blessing you. I remember in the church how our pastor keeps ranting in a church declaration, “gifts and surprises, checks in the mail”
Yes, this is correct. Suddenly you get a check in the mail from a complete stranger.Which reminds me of something that happened when I was studying at ORU.
There was an African student studying with me. He was from a very poor family and he had come to ORU by faith was on a partial scholarship. He was involved with all church activities and also with ORU ministries.
H e did not have funds to continue his studies for the second semester. He got ready to return to his home country. One day, he received a check in the mail from a complete stranger from Florida. That was enough to pay for the second semester.
But he could not find anymore money to continue and returned to his country. When inquired, I heard that he was involved in a relationship with a woman and was not devoted to god as before.
Here I like to remind you, that we need to focus on God to receive any benefit from him. You must attend church. And need to keep meditating on scriptures.
Philippians 4:19
“And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.”
2 Corinthians 9:9-11
“As it is written: “He has scattered abroad His gifts to the poor; His righteousness endures forever.” Now He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your store of seed and will increase the harvest of your righteousness. You will be enriched in every way to be generous on every occasion…”
Give ten percent of your income to church. The church will use your funds for missionary work, church activities. When God sees you being obedient, he will start blessing you.
Conclusion:
Just as Joshua marched to wards Jericho, the promised land, it is your turn to be blessed today. God has a plan to bless you. You need to follow God, Meditate on the word of God. Your God loves you he wants to prosper you. You need to do your part by giving ten percent of your income to your local church so that it will be able to do God’s work without hindrance.
