God will give you desires of your heart

God will give you desires of your heart-

When you follow all commandments of God, you will be blessed in everything you need in life.

Deuteronomy 28:1-2

1 If you fully obey the LORD your God and carefully follow all his commands I give you today, the LORD your God

will set you high above all the nations on earth.2 All these blessings will come on you and accompany you if you obey the LORD your God.”

If you follow God’s commandments you will be blessed and successful in this world. And he will set you high above others. Which means in what ever you do you will reach the top. He will bless you in everything you have been seeking, jobs, career, finances, marriage and even your children will prosper in everything they do. You will be blessed wherever you go, be it in your country or even in a foreign country.

Your enemies will be defeated in front of you. When you look for your enemies you will not find them. Everything you do will come right and you will be prosperous beyond your imagination. And eventually, people will see the difference in you and will know that you have a special place on earth. And they will fear you.

He will bless whatever business, job you start. And he will be with you and ensure success and when you walk in obedience to God, all will notice that you are called by the name of God. God will open the windows of heaven and bless everything you put your hands to. You will always lend to people and will never borrow from anyone.

And if you go against God’s principles you will lose everything you think you have gained. But If you put God first and follow his commandments you will never be at the bottom but always at the Top.

Where does bible say give 10 percent-should church teach tithing

Malachi 3:10 “Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the LORD Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.”

offering tithes

In the old days, in the Old Testament times, people were required to bring ten percent of everything they earn. It could be crops or money. And they brought it to the “storehouse” which was referred to as the Church. By doing that they honored God. And God in return for their obedience blessed them with abundance in food, land, health and money.

It was God’s challenge to people at that time to follow him and to see the results. This apply even today, as you set aside a ten percent of your income to the Lord and also give away some in offerings; God will bless you in return. And it will be ten times or more than what you gave to him.

Even if you have a very low income, you must try to First give ten percent of what you earn, get and God will honor you. Some times you will worry about paying your bills when you give ten percent. But the great thing is at the end of the month you will have plenty of money left in your possession.

This is why it is very important to give first to God and not worry about how you are going to manage your bills.
At the end of the month you will be surprised how much spare money will be left in your bank account. There are many instances where when one is need of food or money that God sends an angel to attend to it. It is often a check in the mail, a surprising gift, from a total stranger. A windfall.

I do not want to promote lottery here as it is a form of gambling. But if you do win a lottery that you played with an office group and you won, it could be from God. I am not saying you should play lottery, but there have been times Christians have won the lottery and whatever good comes from the Lord. God will use sinners money to help someone in need. And it is quite possible that God could use even the Lottery money to help someone in need.

In the 60s especially, the late evangelist, rev. Oral Roberts advocated the tithes in most of his sermons. His favorite biblical verse was, Malachi 3:10 Many criticized his promotion of tithes. But actually, many prospered following his advice, which was giving one tenth to the church. And many liked Oral Roberts so much, rather than contributing to their own church they gave their money to Oral Roberts. and his ministries.

Oral Roberts-

This money made Oral Roberts a millionaire. And he built by faith, a huge hospital by the name of “City of Faith” on the principle, Body, Mind and Spirit, in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

I had the opportunity be a student of Oral Roberts University. I saw the beauty of God’s presence in that campus. It was such a beautiful place that sometimes I thought I was in heaven.

A very peaceful and serene environment, A quiet place to study. And among students following God’s commandments.

Later some students like Kenneth Copeland built their own ministries and reaped similar benefits. Kenneth Copeland preached the same principle that Oral preached. Give one tenth of all your income, earnings. And today, Kenneth Copeland has a successful ministry himself.

I challenge you to start giving tithes, starting today. And you will see the benefits immediately. You will get a promotion at your job, your business will start to make huge profits, and your health and the health of all your family members will improve.

Your sick relative will be healed miraculously. And your long-lost friend or relative will appear from nowhere.

The stocks you invested in the stock market will explode in value. The penny stocks you thought, would never rise in price will accelerate in value. The house you always dreamt of buying will be yours. And that dream vacation, yes you can take now as you have ample money and you are financially independent. And what about the BMW or the Mercedes you wanted to buy. Or even an island you dreamed of. All these are possible because you Tithed !

When you hit the very Top, ensure that you do not forget, the lord your God who made all this happen. It was simply because you used a very simple biblical principle in Malachi 3:10

When you follow all of God’s commandments to the letter, you will receive all his benefits for doing so. Also, keep in mind if you break them it will adversely affect your christian walk. Out of all the commandments, one of the most critical scripture would be Malachi 3:10, where it teaches the importance of giving one tenth of everything you receive. For one to live a happy and prosperous life you need to obey all God’s commandments especially tithing.

  1. Thank you for sharing this article “God will give you desires of your heart”. Amen to that.

It is fact that getting the full blessings of God most high depends on full obedience to God’s word. Complete obedience is paramount.

Concerning winning Lottery,,, I know the Bible says we will inherit the riches of the hidden. God could bless his children in diverse ways. But does that means I should be involved when I am in serious need?

This has caused so much argument amongst Christians here in my school.

    1. Thank you Barry for your comments. There is absolutely no need to play lottery. My point was that God could even use the lottery to bless you as it says “every good thing comes from god”

  2. Malachi 3:10 is one of my favorite verses. I think I read that verse almost everyday. I have been dealing with cancer, which is now in remission. I thoroughly believe my belief in God is what has created this miracle for me. Following God is one of best ways to give glory to God always. Great writing you have here.

  3. This is a post I most certainly needed to see because I am one of those people that don’t regularly pay tithes. One thing people always look at is that when they remove that one tenth from the money they earned it would seem as if all their plans has been scattered.

Many times we don’t even use the money to do important things but taking out that one tenth can be such a difficult thing to do. I also know of someone that don’t like to pay task because he feels the money is too much. This sought of mentality can hinder a lot of us from getting the blessings that God has promised us.

I do have a question and would like an answer. There are a lot of people that pay task but yet are still poor. Why is this happening?

    1. Thank you Jay for your comments.Yes, some people may feel as if the money assigned to tithes is too much. Actually it is not.It is because from my personal experience i know, even though you think that there would not be enough money after you pay all your bills, amazingly, there would be some money left over for you.

This is a challenge that God throws at you in Malachi 3:10

Tithing itself will not make you rich, but Faith will.Trust in God.

  4. This is a very good article mentioning not only to honor and live by the 10 commandments but also how to incorporate the one tenth of everything one’s owns.

I try to live by it, according to my Christian teaching of being a Lutheran, and giving things away, not just money, has always be a part of my life.

I appreciate your passion and to write about this topic. Being a Christian, for me, is always the fact that you give first before you can receive.

    Thank you for sharing

    1. Thank you. yes, I agree it is Not only money that is important to give but also your time and assistance to the poor as well.

  5. I must say, Psalm 37:4 which says, “Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desire of your heart,” is often quoted by Christians who have specific requests to God. However, we need to understand something and that is … all God’s promises come with a condition. And I’m glad you pointed that out very well by quoting Deuteronomy 28:1-2.

You’re absolutely right! God wants our obedience to all His commandments. In the same way that He expected the nation of Israel to heed and obey Him for them to receive His blessings, the believers today need to do the same. God’s love is unconditional but His promises of blessings aren’t.

Sadly, many people only want the blessings; they want God to give them the desires of their hearts but do not want to obey and submit to God. You mentioned tithing, which is a very controversial topic even among evangelicals. Christians have differing views regarding this topic. It has piqued my interest enough that I decided to tackle this issue in one of my blog posts.

I hold to the principle that giving is a matter of the heart, whether we give our tithes or offerings, our motive in doing so says everything about how we really look at this aspect of a Christian life.

    Blessings to you,

    1. Thank you Alice for your comments. i do agree that we need to obey God’s commandments  to receive his blessings. On the other hand our god is such a loving God, that he forgives us of our sins, though we do not deserve it.
